IMPORTANT NOTICE

Please note that the visa will be issued at the discretion of the embassy.

Visa

- It is ESSENTIAL that you meet all the requirements listed for the type of visa being applied for.
- In order to strengthen your eligibility of obtaining your visa, please ask your sponsor to obtain an authorization through the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Visa authorization from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is valid for 3 months from the date of issue.
- Visa from the embassy is valid for 3 months from date of issue.
- The embassy will not issue you a visa if your passport already has a valid visa.

Medical Report

- If you require a medical report, the report is valid for only 6 months from the date of issue.
- If the medical report is processed in Canada, it will take approximately two months.
- If the medical report is processed outside of Canada, it has to be identical to the medical form at the bottom of this page and testified by the Saudi Arabian Embassy IN THE COUNTRY OF ISSUE.
- You MUST confirm with your doctor that you have all required test results INCLUDING (HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C).

Police Certificate

- The police clearance report is valid for only 3 months from the date of issue, and can be applied for at your local police station or online at: www.truecheck.ca

#1. BUSINESS VISAS (with a letter of invitation)

This type of visa applies to a Canadian applicant who works for a registered Canadian company or firm who is sending them for a business trip to Saudi Arabia

Please submit:

1. An original AND a photocopy of the applicant's passport. It must also be valid for at least six months from the application date and include the place of birth and two side by side blank pages.
2. Visa application form (Typed out or hand written in block letters).
3. Two recent (4x6 cm) photographs on a plain white background (write name on back).
4. Non-Canadian applicants must submit a copy of their valid residency permit (permanent resident card). (Send only copy of front and back of the PR card)
5. A photocopy of applicant's confirmed airlines reservation must be submitted.

6. The applicant’s sponsor / business partner in Saudi Arabia must provide:
a) A letterhead of invitation from the Saudi company addressed to the Consular Section including the following: The civil registration number of the company/owner, company address & telephone number, name of the applicant in full, religion, nationality, passport number, occupation, name of Canadian employer, the purpose of the trip, length of stay and number of entries. the letter must be signed and stamped by a Saudi Chamber of Commerce. (please see sample section)
b) A copy of the company’s registration certificate which includes The civil registration number of the company. (please see sample section)

7. The applicant’s Canadian Employer must provide:
a) A letterhead from a registered company or firm based in Canada addressed to the Consular Section including the following: The name of the applicant in full, religion, nationality, passport number, occupation, name of Saudi Arabian company, the purpose of the trip, length of stay and number of entries. The letter must be signed and stamped by a Chamber of Commerce or Board of Trade. (please see sample section). See sample here.
b) A copy of the Canadian company’s registration certificate.

#2. BUSINESS VISAS (with an authorization)

If you are one of the following:

1. NOT representing a Canadian company.
2. An independent expert / consultant.

Then this is the only type of visa you are allowed to apply for.

The sponsor in Saudi Arabia must apply for a visa authorization through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Once the application is approved, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will send the authorization directly to the Consular Section. The sponsor must provide the applicant with a copy of the visa slip.

Please submit:

1. Number and date of your visa authorization.
2. Visa application form (Typed out or hand written in block letters).
3. A valid passport for six months at least from the application date, including the place of birth and two blank pages side by side. (Original Only).
4. Two recent (4 x 6 cm) photographs taken against a plain white background. (Name written on the back).
5. A signed letter addressed to the Consular Section from the applicant OR the applicant’s firm(if applicable), including information about the applicant and purpose of the trip.
6. Non-Canadian applicants must submit a copy of valid residency permit (permanent resident card). (Send only copy of front and back of the PR card).
7. A photocopy of confirmed airlines reservation must be submitted.

#3. SHORT TERM VISIT WORK VISA (BUSINESS)

This visa applies to an applicant who has a short term work contract with a Saudi partner.

Please submit:

1. Number and date of your visa authorization.
2. Visa application form (Typed out or hand written in block letters).
3. A valid passport for six months at least from the application date, including the place of birth and two blank pages side by side. (Original Only).
4. Two recent (4 x 6 cm) photographs taken against a plain white background. (Name written on the back).
5. A letter addressed to the Consular Section from the applicant’s firm signed and stamped, including information about the applicant and purpose of the trip.
6. Non-Canadian applicants must submit a copy of valid residency permit (permanent resident card). (Send only copy of front and back of the PR card).
7. A copy of a work contract.
8. A copy of the applicant's degree.
9. A letter stating 2 years work experience.
10. A photocopy of confirmed airlines reservation must be submitted.

#4. EMPLOYMENT VISA

Please submit:

1. Visa application form (Typed out or hand written in block letters).
2. Three recent (4x6 cm) photographs with plain white background (write name on back). Two to be stapled to the application form and one on the medical form.
3. The passport validity should correspond with the duration of the contract, and include the place of birth and two blank pages side by side. (Original Only)
4. An original letter of sponsorship from the Saudi company indicating the authorization number, the date, the job title and certified by a Saudi Chamber of Commerce and the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
5. A copy of the work contract. Copy of Saudi company’s registration certificate.
6. Copy of your Canadian Degree / Diploma (two copies certified by the issuing institution and by a notary as well as authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs of Canada). Transcripts and letter(s) of experience from previous employers.
7. Written authorization from the applicant allowing the consulate to verify the information with the institutions.
8. Foreign Degrees must be certified by the Saudi Embassy in the country of issue.
9. Completed medical report form and all test results. The report certified by college of physicians of the issuing province (Original Only). You MUST confirm with your doctor that you have all required test results INCLUDING (HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C - please attach these result pages to the back of the medical report). If any of the 4 results are positive+, your doctor must provide a typed explanation of why they are positive.
10. Police clearance report. (Original Only)
11. If applicant previously worked in Saudi Arabia, a letter of release must be attached. (Original & one copy)
12. Non-Canadian applicants must submit a copy of valid residency permit (permanent resident card). (Send only copy of front and back of the PR card).
13. A photocopy of confirmed airlines reservation must be submitted.
14. Age of employment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: applicants must be over 22 years.

#5. FAMILY VISIT VISA

Please submit:

1. Visa application form (Typed out or block letter written)
2. Two recent (4x6 cm) photographs with plain white background. (must write name on back)
3. A valid passport for at least six months from the application date including the place of birth and two blank side by side pages (Original Only). If family accompanying on the same passport, pictures and names of all members must be added on the passport by the proper legal authorities. (Canadian nationals must have separate passports even for children).
4. Proof of relationship to the sponsor (a marriage certificate for the spouse, and a birth certificate or a child indicating name of parents). (Copy Only)
5. Non-Canadian applicants must submit a copy of valid residency permit (permanent resident card). (Copy of front and back of the PR card)
6. Copy of POLIO immunization record for children under the age of 15.
7. Copy of Residency Permit of the sponsor (IQAMA) in Saudi Arabia.
8. A notarized letter of permission from the absent parent is required If one parent is traveling alone with minor children.
9. A copy of airline reservation must be submitted along with the application.
10. Visa validity is 3 months from date of issue.

#6. INVESTOR VISAS

The sponsor in Saudi Arabia must apply for a visa authorization through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Once the request is granted, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will send the authorization directly to the Consulate. The sponsor must provide the applicant with the authorization date and number. The applicant must verify that his authorization number has been received by the consular section. (KINDLY PROVIDE THE VISA SLIP).

Please submit:

1. Visa application form (Typed out or hand written in block letters).
2. A valid passport for 2 years at least from the application date, including the place of birth and two blank pages side by side. (Original Only).
3. Three (3) recent passport size photographs (4 cm x 6 cm) taken against a plain white background attached to the application form and the medical form.
4. Copy of investor's status certificate from SAGIA.
5. Completed medical report form and all test results. The report certified by college of physicians of the issuing province (Original Only). You MUST confirm with your doctor that you have all required test results INCLUDING (HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C - please attach these result pages to the back of the medical report). If any of the 4 results are positive+, your doctor must provide a typed explanation of why they are positive.
6. Police clearance report. (Original Only).
7. Non-Canadian applicants must submit a valid residency permit (permanent resident card). (Send only copy of front and back of the Permanent Residency (PR) card).
8. A statement or proof of religion.
9. A copy of airline reservation must be submitted along with the application.

#7. RESIDENCY VISAS

Please submit:

1. Visa application form (Typed out or block letter written).
2. Three (3) recent passport size photographs (4 cm x 6 cm) taken against a plain white background attached to the application form (must write name on back) and the medical form.
3. A valid passport for at least six months from the application date and must have the place of birth and two blank pages side by side (Original Only). If family accompanying on the same passport, pictures and names of all members must be added on the passport by the proper legal authorities.
4. Proof of relationship to the sponsor (a marriage certificate for a wife and a birth certificate for a child indicating name of both parents (Copy Only))
5. Non-Canadian applicants must submit a valid residency permit (permanent resident card). (Send only copy of front and back of the Permanent Residency (PR) card)
6. Copy of POLIO immunization record for children under the age of 15.
7. Copy of Residency permit of the sponsor (IQAMA) and a Letter from the sponsor indicating the authorization number , the date and the names of applicants.
8. For residency visa applicants over 16 years old, must provide:

(a) Completed medical report form and all test results. The report certified by college of physicians of the issuing province (Original Only). You MUST confirm with your doctor that you have all required test results INCLUDING (HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C - please attach these result pages to the back of the medical report). If any of the 4 results are positive+, your doctor must provide a typed explanation of why they are positive.
(b) Police clearance report (Original Only)

9. A copy of airline reservation must be submitted along with the application.

#8. RESIDENCY FOR NEWBORN

Please submit:

1. Visa application form filled out completely and accurately.
2. Original Canadian passport valid at least for six months (separate passport for the newborn).
3. Original and one copy of the birth certificate indicating the names of the mother and the father.
4. Copy of the residency permit (IQAMA) of both parents.
5. Letter from the Saudi sponsor certified by a Saudi Chamber of Commerce confirming the employment of either parent, job title, residency permit number and expiry date, and indicating that the sponsor has no objection child residing in Saudi Arabia. (we suggest that you obtain visa authorization for the newborn as this will secure issuance of the visa)
6. Covering letter requesting the visa from the Consular Section.
7. Passport of the mother and one copy.
8. Copy of the father's passport.
9. Two (4 x 6 cm) photographs of the child.
10. A photocopy confirmed airlines reservations must be submitted along with the application

#9. STUDENT VISA

The sponsor in Saudi Arabia must apply for a visa authorization through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Once the request is granted, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will send the authorization directly to the Consular Section. The sponsor must provide the applicant with the authorization date, the number and copy of the visa slip.

Please submit:

1. Visa application form (Typed out or hand written in block letters).
2. A valid passport for 1 year at least from the application date including the place of birth (Original & one copy).
3. Three (3) recent passport size (4 cm x 6 cm) photographs stapled on the application formand the medical form.
4. Letter of Sponsorship from the Saudi sponsor (university) certified by the university & indicating the authorization number & the date.
5. Degree/ Diploma , transcripts all certified by The Department of Foreign Affairs of Canada Tel: (613) 995-0119 (two authenticated copies from The Department of Foreign Affairs of Canada)
6. Completed medical report form and all test results. The report certified by college of physicians of the issuing province (Original Only). You MUST confirm with your doctor that you have all required test results INCLUDING (HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C - please attach these result pages to the back of the medical report). If any of the 4 results are positive+, your doctor must provide a typed explanation of why they are positive.
7. Police clearance report. (Original Only)
8. Non-Canadian applicants must submit a valid residency permit (permanent resident card). (Send only copy of front and back of the PR card)
9. A photocopy confirmed airlines reservations must be submitted along with the application.
10. A statement or proof of religion.

#10. TRANSIT VISA

N. B. The transit visa allows its holder to enter SaudiArabia and to stay between 12 and 72 hours only to connect with another flight leaving to another destination and does not entitle the holder to leave the airport

PLEASE INCLUDING AN AIRLINE RESERVATION (NOT TICKET) AND SEND ALL THE REQUIREMENTS BELOW, UPON APPROVAL, WE WILL CONTACT YOU TO REQUEST THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS TO BE SENT:

If you are approved, please submit:

1. Visa application form (typed out or hand written in block letters)
2. Two recent (4x6 cm) photographs stapled to the application.
3. A passport valid for six months at least from the application date.
(a) Those with multiple nationalities must apply on their Canadian passport.(Send the original passport and one photocopy)
(b) If family members are on the same passport, their pictures and names must be added to the passport by the proper legal authorities. Canadian citizens must all have separate passports EVEN FOR CHILDREN)
4. An airline ticket with confirmed reservations in and out of the Kingdom. (Original ticket and one photocopy)
5. Ladies and children must be accompanied by a male relative (Mahram). The Mahram must be traveling on the same flight as the lady or child. Proof of relationship is required (a marriage certificate for a wife, a birth certificate for a child indicating the names of both parents). (Send the original proof and one photocopy)
6. Non-Canadian applicants must submit a valid residency permit (permanent resident card). (Send only copy of front and back of the PR card)
7. Visa for the country of next destination after Saudi Arabia affixed on passport.
8. Letter of visa request from Saudi Arabian Airlines.

#11. VISA FOR FOREIGN FAMILY OF A SAUDI CITIZEN

[A] RESIDENCY VISA FOR A WIFE OF A SAUDI CITIZEN

(The sponsor in Saudi Arabia must apply for a visa authorization through the Ministry of INTERIOR. Once the application is approved, the Ministry of foreign Affairs will send the authorization directly to the Consulate the sponsor must provide the applicant with the authorization date and number. The applicant must verify that the consular section has received your authorization number. (KINDLY PROVIDE THE VISA SLIP)

Please submit:

1. Visa application form (Typed out or hand written in block letters).
2. Three recent (4x6 cm) photographs with a plain white background (must write name on back).
3. A valid passport for six months at least from the application date including the place of birth and two blank side by side pages (Original & one copy).
4. Proof of relationship to the sponsor (the Islamic marriage certificate certified by The Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs).
5. Non-Canadian applicants must submit a valid residency permit (permanent resident card). (Send only copy of front and back of the PR card).
6. Copy of PASSPORT OF sponsor.
7. Completed medical report form and all test results. The report certified by college of physicians of the issuing province (Original Only). You MUST confirm with your doctor that you have all required test results INCLUDING (HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C - please attach these result pages to the back of the medical report). If any of the 4 results are positive+, your doctor must provide a typed explanation of why they are positive.
8. Police clearance report (Original Only).
9. Proof of conversion to Islam (if you converted to Islam or if it is required by ministry of interior).

[B] REQUIREMENTS TO EXTEND EXIT RE-ENTRY VISA OR TO ISSUE A RESIDENCY VISA

Please submit:

1. Visa application form ( Typed out or block letter written ).
2. Two (2) recent passport size photographs ( 4 CM X 6 CM) stapled on the application.
3. Original passport. (Original & one copy).
4. Copy of residency permit (IQAMA).
5. A certificate print out issued by the passport office in Saudi Arabia which include information about the latest exit re-entry visa issued.
6. Copy of the sponsor's passport.
7. Letter from the Saudi sponsor to issue a visa to the applicant to resume residance or work in in the kingdom.
8. Copy of confirmed reservations must be presented along with the application (itinerary). It must show date of entry to the Kingdom.

[C] VISIT VISA FOR FAMILY MEMBERS WHOSE MOTHER OR SPOUSE IS A SAUDI CITIZEN

Please submit:

1. Visa application form ( Typed out or block letter written ).
2. Original passport valid at least for six months more.
3. Two photographs (4 cm x 6 cm).
4. Original and one copy of proof of relationship (birth certificate revealing the mother's and the father's names for the child, a marriage certificate for the husband).
5. copy of the Saudi passport and copy of the Saudi I.D of the mother or spouse.
6. A request Letter from the Saudi citizen to issue a visa.
7. If a child applying for the visa a letter from the father allowing the child to accompany his mother (copy of two pieces of identification showing his signature).

#12. EXIT RE-ENTRY VISA

[A] REQUIREMENTS TO EXTEND EXIT RE-ENTRY VISA

YOU MUST APPLY TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE EXPIRY DATE OF YOUR EXIT RE-ENTRY VISA

Please submit:

1. Visa application form (Typed out or block letter written).
2. An original AND a photocopy of the applicant's passport. It must also be valid for at least six months from the application date and include the place of birth and two side by side blank pages.
3. A certificate print out issued by the passport office TRAVEL SECTION in Saudi Arabia which includes information about the latest exit re-entry visa issued to you.
4. Copy of confirmed reservations must be presented along with the application (itinerary). (must show date of entry to the Kingdom).
5. Passport must show the stamp of a valid residency permit if not Copy of the residency permit of the spouse or parents (IQAMA) original and one copy. Must also provide copy of the exit r-entry visa.
6. A fax copy of the letter from the company sponsoring revealing details of years of employment, job title, residency permit issuance and validity.
7. For students & accompanying mothers a declaration of enrollment from the school or university. If your stay outside the Kingdom exceeded 12 months you must obtain an authorization from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the kingdom (include copy of the visa slip).
8. In case of a work residence and if your length of stay out side the kingdom exceeded 7 months you must obtain an authorization from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the kingdom (include copy of the visa slip).
9. A covering letter requesting the extension and the expected date of return to Saudi Arabia.

[B] LOST PASSPORT WITH EXIT RE-ENTRY

Please submit:

1. Visa application form (Typed out or block letter written).
2. The new original passport. (Original & one copy).
3. Two (2) recent passport size photographs (4 CM X 6 CM) stapled on the application form.
4. Copy of residency permit (IQAMA) & copy of the lost passport.
5. A certificate print out issued by the passport office TRAVEL SECTION in Saudi Arabia which include information about the latest exit re-entry visa issued to you.
6. A faxed copy of the Letter from the Saudi sponsor stamped by a Saudi chamber of commerce confirming the employment, job title, residency permit number and the expiry date, the loss of the passport and to issue a visa to the applicant to resume work or residence in Saudi.
7. Police report or letter from the issuing authority of the new passport revealing the reason for issuing new passport (Original & one copy).
8. A copy of an airline reservations must be presented along with the application.
9. The fees payable to the Embassy of Saudi Arabia:
a) If you are on a work visa the fee is $88.00
b) If you are on a residency visa the fee is $22.00
